Assign Security Group

Give user access to the HotWax Commerce applications by assigning a security group.

This document outlines a step-by-step process for assigning security group to employees in the OMS.

Security group defines the permission for users to access applications functionalities.

  1. Go to Hamburger Menu in OMS > Relationship > Employee.

  2. Search employees and navigate to the employee profile.

  3. Go to the User Login & Permissions section.

  4. Click add function to assign the security group.

  5. Select the required group from the dropdown and save.

Table defines all the secuirty groups and their description:

Catalog manager

Oversees and manages product catalogs, including tasks such as adding, updating, and organizing products

Customer service representative

Responsible for assisting customers with inquiries, complaints, and product-related issues.

MDM manager

Oversees Master Data Management (MDM) processes, ensuring accurate and consistent organization-wide data. They are responsible for maintaining data quality, managing data and integration.

Merchandising manager

Responsible for planning and coordinating the purchase, display, and pricing of products in retail stores. They analyze market trends, manage inventory, and collaborate with suppliers to optimize sales and profitability.

Order manager

Oversees and manages the order fulfillment process within a business. They coordinate order processing, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery to customers

Store associate

Responsible for assisting customers, restocking shelves, and maintaining store cleanliness.

Store manager

Oversees all aspects of a retail store's operations. Their duties include managing staff, inventory, sales, and customer service.

Warehouse clerk

Responsible for various tasks in a warehouse, such as receiving and processing incoming shipments, picking and packing orders, organizing inventory, and maintaining accurate records.

Warehouse picker

Selects items from inventory based on customer orders.

Warehouse packer

Responsible for preparing items for shipment in a warehouse. Their tasks include carefully packing products, labeling packages, and ensuring that orders are accurately and securely packed

Warehouse reciever

Responsible for accepting and processing incoming shipments in a warehouse. They inspect, document, and organize received goods, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.

Warehouse manager

Oversees all activities in a warehouse, including inventory management, staff supervision, and logistics coordination.

Super

Super users often have the authority to perform critical tasks, configure settings, and manage permissions that regular users cannot.
