Add Map Link

To improve store discoverability and ensure a seamless pickup experience for customers, HotWax Commerce allows users to add a Map Link for each facility. This feature enables retailers to provide customers with a direct link to a facility’s location on a mapping service such as Google Maps. It helps customers easily navigate to stores for pickups, improving the BOPIS experience and reducing confusion related to store location. This Map Link is configured from the Facility App.

To add or update a map link for a facility, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Find Facilities page in the Facility App.

2. Search for and select the facility for which you want to configure a map link.

3. On the Facility details page, locate the Map Link card.

4. If no map link has been added yet, click on the Add button. If a map link already exists, click on the Edit button to update it.

5. A pop-up will appear where users can enter or modify the map URL (for example, a Google Maps location link).

6. Click on the Save button to store the map link.

To verify the added map link:

1. Locate the Map Link card on the Facility details page.

2. Click on the Preview button.

3. Users will be redirected to the configured map URL in a new tab, allowing them to confirm that the location is accurate.

Remove Map Link

If a facility no longer needs a map link, it can be removed from the Facility details page:

1. Locate the Map Link card on the Facility details page.

2. Click on the Remove button.

3. Confirm the removal in the pop-up if prompted. The map link will be deleted.
